COMPATIBILITY TESTER LICENSE

A personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable permission to use the specifically supplied full compatibility-testing edition for evaluation and compatibility testing. It has no 14-day audio limit. This permission does not promise Starr 1.0 or commercial-release rights.

ONE-TIME COMPATIBILITY REPORT: The installer must disclose this before installation. On the first internet-connected startup, this edition attempts to send one environment/diagnostic report to WhoWizIt through its HTTPS service. Offline launches defer the attempt; after successful delivery it does not report again. Fields are limited to Starr version/edition, OS family/version, CPU architecture, host format, sample rate, audio block size, channel counts and pass/fail diagnostic results. Reports exclude names, emails, device/advertising IDs, IP fields, serial numbers, audio, MIDI, file paths and project contents. The service provider necessarily handles the network connection; see the privacy notice. If you do not want to send this report, do not install this edition; use the standard beta demo.

Back up sessions, keep a previous working version, and begin at a comfortable listening level. Do not redistribute installers, license certificates or raw factory samples. Rights required by applicable open-source licenses are not restricted. Third-party components and sample content retain their owners' rights; this license does not grant rights that WhoWizIt does not own or have authority to grant. Music/audio export rights remain subject to each source sample's applicable license.

Feedback is voluntary. You retain ownership of your feedback and grant WhoWizIt permission to use it to improve Starr without an obligation to pay or credit you. Do not submit confidential information.

Permission ends if these terms are materially breached and the breach is not remedied after notice. You may stop using and uninstall Starr at any time. No purchase, future update, final-release license or release date is promised.
